Treating Workers as Clients
As a business owner, you may find it useful in maintaining your pool of experienced employees if you treat them the way you treat your clients. You should realize that it is effective for a business to have a manpower that is well-experienced because nothing beats experience in any endeavor that you may take. Of course you do not want to see your manpower changing drastically every now and then for if this is the case, there is probably something wrong on how you lead your business.
You and your employees should have a two-way and open communication with each other. They must be able to approach you for help whenever they need it and you must also be willing to accept suggestions from them. Their suggestions may be proven effective since they are the ones who have a hands-on experience on how things are done in your company.
You should strongly encourage your employees to maintain a work and life balance. If possible, enforce rules that allow your employees to get out of the office and go home on time to be with their families. You can also create events that are meant for socializing with other members of the company.
You should also practice generosity within your company. You should know when to reward top performing employees and keep in mind that it is best to have a reward system than a penalty system to encourage employees to do better in their jobs. You properly compensate everyone who is contributing for the greater good of the company.
